People around the world are closer to benefiting from the next great medical discovery thanks to support of our faculty and their research. For example, in the Del Monte Institute for Neuroscience and the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, pilot project funding has supported the ideas of early- and mid-career faculty who are concentrating on ways to prevent neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders, avoid deadly antibiotic-resistant infections after surgery, treat osteoarthritis, and develop the latest treatments for life-changing spinal cord injuries, brain tumors, and stroke.
