Living in lockdown

On January 19, Wuwei Chen ’11—a Metro NYC Women’s Group steering committee member—flew from New York City to Wuhan to celebrate Chinese New Year with her family. Her plan was to stay with her parents in their 1000 square-foot apartment for two weeks. But then COVID-19 hit.

Interested in getting involved in the Rochester region in particular?

The University is home to several community and cultural institutions in Rochester, including the Memorial Art Gallery, the Eastman School of Music, the Eastman Community Music School, and the Eastman Theatre.

The University of Rochester Medical Center includes the Eastman Institute for Oral Health, Golisano Children’s Hospital, Highland Hospital, the School of Medicine and Dentistry, the School of Nursing, Thompson Health, Strong Memorial Hospital, UR Home Care (which runs Meals on Wheels), and the Wilmot Cancer Institute.
