The Alan and Jane Handler Scholarship is a premier scholarship at the University of Rochester for students who are selected based on exceptional academic potential, financial need, and outstanding leadership potential.
The Handler Scholars program attracts students with unique backgrounds who will enhance the student body at the University of Rochester. The Handler Scholarship was established in 2007 with a gift from Rich and Martha Handler. It honors Alan and Jane Handler, parents of Richard Handler ’83, a member of the University Board of Trustees.
With an ultimate commitment of $25 million to support top incoming students with high financial need the Alan and Jane Handler Scholarship, is the largest scholarship gift in the University’s history.
