2020 New York Business Plan Competition: Statewide Finalists Submission Deadline

Because of policies and procedures across New York state higher ed institutions, this year’s competition will be virtual and asynchronous.
The 2020 NYBPC features finalists from regional competitions in New York’s 10 Regional Economic Development Council zones:
- Capital Region
- Central New York
- North Country
- Mohawk Valley
- Finger Lakes
- Western New York
- Southern Tier
- Mid-Hudson
- New York City
- Long Island
Regional partner colleges and universities host semifinal competitions in their regions throughout spring 2020. On Friday, May 1, the top teams from each of the 10 regions across six tracks will submit videos of their presentations and pitch deck.
Online Finals Schedule (Updated April 1, 2020):
- May 1 – Student regional winners submit video & pitch deck
- May 5 – Judges are sent submissions for their track
- May 13 – Judges fill out scoring form for each team (with comments)
- May 14 – Proctors receive totals with comments & eligibility for prizes
- May 14-16 – Judges meet to select winners with proctors to moderate discussions. Timing will vary by track.
- May 22 – Winners announced
- June 1 – Student teams receive packets of feedback
