Big Ideas in Science and Medicine Business Pitch Competition

SMD Entrepreneurs, myHub, and the Ain Center present the first annual Big Ideas in Science and Medicine Business Pitch Competition! Do you have a solution to pressing problem in the medical or biotech field? Register to pitch your venture to a panel of judges, including URMC alumni, who have entrepreneurial success in healthcare and biotech. Top teams take home cash prizes ($500 for first and $250 for second).
Participants can apply online for a chance to pitch (note that competitors must be in a program at the UR School of Medicine & Dentistry OR in a biomedical-related field on the River Campus). Once accepted, teams will receive a slide deck template to customize with their info and prepare a 3-minute pitch, then present live over Zoom on Wednesday, March 2 at 12 PM. Judges will then have 5 minutes for Q&A with each team.
All are welcome to attend, cheer on the pitching teams, and network after the competition. Register online to receive the Zoom link immediately. If you have questions or would like help in preparing your submission, please reach out to the Ain Center via AinCFE@rochester.edu.
