Talk with Mark Oney, SVP at EmployeeChannel

Mark Oney, SVP of Product Operations at EmployeeChannel, will host a talk on September 18. He is a successful engineering/operations executive as well as a serial entrepreneur living in Silicon Valley. He cut his teeth at Apple, and continued on to launch eight ventures of his own. Most recently, Mark joined EmployeeChannel, Inc., as SVP of Product Operations. He’s an RIT alum and a member of the UNY50 Leadership Network. Prior to EmployeeChannel, Mark served in a range of executive management roles, including Engineering, Services, Product Management, and Support. Most recently, as Chief Product Officer at Granicus, he oversaw the Product Management and Product Development functions, driving a unification of the portfolio and improved execution.

Prior to that, he led the engineering, linguistics, hosted operations, and managed services functions at VirtuOz, driving an aggressive transformation within each area. He also led Sabrix’s development and delivery of a SaaS-based offering that resulted in over 300% bookings growth in its first 2 years.
Mark earlier served as SVP of Engineering at several start-ups, including Evant, Extensity, Crag Technologies, and Ridge Technologies, all resulting in successful liquidity events, returning shareholder value. As an Apple alumni and Director of Software Development, he contributed to a resurgence of their PowerBook business.

Later this fall, Mark will be a keynote speaker during Upstate Venture Connect’s Upstate Unleashed Conference.
