The typical suburban domestic exterior is tailored to improve the view of the home and accommodate the outdoor comfort of its inhabitants; it is ‘planned’ nature contained by pickets and restrained with noxious chemicals and specialized equipment.  The diameter of the work was approximately 15 feet; the peak of the turf was approximately 24inches from the surface of the water. The substructure of sealed black plastic pipe was attached to raft of Styrofoam. A mesh netting stretched over the pipe framework to support the Astro-Turf. A sprinkler drew water from the harbor and ran on a solar powered pump.(Read more under ‘Specific Bodies of Work’)
