RicketyRickshawSeeSaw

By design and when used equitably the normal teeter-totter only permits control 50% of the time. Being the skinny kid meant I was easily suspended high above the ground at the mercy of my see-saw associate. With legs dangling and struggling for gravity, even my application of the leverage I could muster through a shimmy to the very edge of the seat wasn’t enough to bring me back to the control that comes from solid level ground. Hoards on the sliding boards, moods swings, wary-go-rounds . . . governors and apostles, conflict and kindness – community in general – all unfold on our childhood’s playground.
