Why did you choose the University of Rochester?

One of the main factors that attracted me to the University of Rochester was its flexibility when it comes to choosing classes across different majors. As someone who is interested in a variety of different topics and disciplines, I was excited to have the opportunity to explore and learn about a wide range of subjects.

Why did you choose to major in business?

My personal interest in marketing played a big role in my decision. I have always been fascinated by the way that companies use advertising and branding to influence consumer behavior and create demand for their products.

What has been your favorite undergraduate business course and why?

By far my favorite business course is CIS 220 Business Information Systems and Analytics. In this course, you are introduced to learning various analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau. It is a very useful class to exercise your analytical awareness of different brands and their strategies.

What are your activities outside of class?

I am heavily involved in the undergraduate business program as a peer advisor. This role involves working with other students to provide guidance and support on topics related to their academics, career development, and personal growth.

Have you completed any internships?

I have completed an internship as a social media assistant for a small jewelry business. During my time there, I was responsible for creating content for its social media platforms, as well as developing strategies to increase engagement and drive traffic to its website.

What are your career goals?

When it comes to my career goals, I am passionate about using my skills and knowledge to initiate positive change. I have always been drawn to fields where I can make a tangible impact, and I believe that product management is an excellent way for me to do so.
