Princeton in Africa – One Year of Service

Princeton in Africa is a yearlong post-graduate fellowship program for young leaders committed to Africa’s advancement. Princeton in Africa Fellows work with different organizations across the continent of Africa. Since our organizations span across a variety of sectors, such as Education & Youth Capacity Building and Business & Economic Development, Fellows fill a wide range of roles from report writing and program management to teaching and monitoring & evaluation.
What they are looking for:

  • Passion for social change, commitment to service and an interest in the advancement of Africa.
  • Diverse set of skills ranging from tutoring, social media and grant writing to STATA and more!
  • Prior experience in Africa is not needed.

What is needed to apply:

  • Completion of the online application with the following attachments: resume, photo, unofficial copy of transcript.
  • Letter of recommendation submitted through their online LOR form.
  • Official transcript directly from your university’s Registrar’s office.
  • Application fee of $50 USD.

Other Helpful Tips

  • Your recommender should be a professional contact who can speak to your character as well as your skills, strengths, and abilities.
  • Your resume should not exceed two pages.
  • Order your official transcript early to ensure it is postmarked before the deadline.
  • Online materials must be submitted by October 30th at 11:59pm EDT. Any mailed materials should be postmarked by Saturday, October 29th.
