New Graduate Assistant: Morgan Drake

screen-shot-2016-07-20-at-7-09-26-pmMorgan Drake is from Syracuse, NY but spent the past four years in Geneva, NY at Hobart and William Smith Colleges where she got her B.A. in Sociology and Dance and minored in Child Advocacy and Arts and Education. While at Hobart and William Smith, Morgan was a resident assistant, worked for the Office of Admissions, Office of Advancement and Alumni Relations, and for the Office of Community Engagement and Service Learning as a tutor for America Reads. She also created her own after school program integrating arts and education for children in Geneva. Morgan conducted two research projects, for the Geneva School District about the effects of early childhood education on mental and physical health of children ages 0-5, and about the importance of embodied learning through movement education as child advocacy.

Morgan is currently pursuing her M.S. in School Counseling at the Warner School, where she hopes to work with high school students. She is excited to be the newest Community Graduate Assistant in RCCL, where she will be advising the University of Rochester community service student groups and helping to facilitate the LEAP program.
