The shuttle will run from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Look for University of Rochester signs in the baggage claim area. The shuttle will make stops as the First-Year Quad (for Gilbert, Hoeing, and Tiernan Halls) and near the First-Year Hill (for Susan B. Anthony and Genesee Halls).

Arriving by Taxi, Rideshare or Hotel Shuttle

If you are arriving by taxis, rideshare, or hotel shuttle bus, you should go directly to the First-Year Hill Area Office (for those living in Susan B. Anthony Halls and Genesee Hall) or to the First-Year Quad Area Office (for Hoeing, Gilbert, and Tiernan Halls).

Taxi service from the airport costs approximately $15 to $20 USD should you decide not to use the University shuttle. You should have US currency to pay for the taxi.

Arriving by Car

If you are driving to Rochester or will be renting a car to come to campus, please enter the University at the Wilson Boulevard entrance and stop at the information booth where a Residential Life staff member will greet you.

You will be given a parking tag and map, and then directed to your specific housing area. There will be signs directing you to the first-year housing areas. Please go directly to the First-Year Hill Area Office for Susan B. Anthony/Genesee Halls or to the First-Year Quad Area Office (for Hoeing, Gilbert, and Tiernan Halls).

There will be student staff and volunteers in each area to help you get you key and your belongings to your room. Please remember that a driver must be with the car at all times. When the car is empty, the driver will be instructed to move the car to parking.
