Transfer Checklist

Checkmark IconReceive financial aid package via email.
Checkmark IconReturn Enrollment Reply Form and deposit to admissions.
Checkmark IconReceive enrolling student email from admissions, which includes your NetID and student ID number.
Checkmark IconReview the enrolling student website.
Checkmark IconActivate your NetID and University email address with information technology (IT).
Checkmark IconComplete payment plan agreement with the Office of the BursarImportant: The payment agreement must be completed at least 48 hours prior to registration
Checkmark IconReturn paper Health History Form sent in the mail.
Checkmark IconComplete online Health Insurance Enrollment/Waiver.
Checkmark IconSecure on-campus or off-campus housing. (Please note that on-campus housing is not guaranteed.)

Contact Kate McKenna ( in the College Center for Advising Services (CCAS) with specific advising and transfer credit questions. For general questions, please review the Advising Handbook. If you are an incoming spring student, please call (585) 275-2354 to make an appointment to meet or talk with an advisor in the CCAS. Appointments are available November 18 through December 20. (During Mid-Year Orientation you will have the opportunity to meet with your assigned advisor to talk about your spring courses)

Checkmark IconAttend Orientation and register for classes.
Checkmark IconPetition to use a transfer course to satisfy the Primary Writing Requirement (in first semester). The petition form and criteria can be found at the Writing, Speaking, and Argument Program website.
Checkmark IconIf needed, get a parking permit from the Department of Transportation and Parking Management.
Checkmark IconSend final transcript by September 15 for fall entry or by January 31 for spring entry.
Checkmark IconReview Orientation Schedule (Schedule will be available starting August 1st)
