Orientation Program

Our online Parent and Family Orientation program is designed to introduce you to University academics, student life, and the many resources available to you. Most sessions will be recorded and available with captioning for viewing following the live presentations. 

Registration Instructions

These sessions are for parents and family members of enrolled students. Please click on Register Now below each webinar to be directed to the registration page. Then, please enter your full name and email address. If you have any issues, please contact us at orientation@rochester.edu.

Learn about all of the support services available to your student through the University Health Service (UHS), including UHS Primary Care Services, the University Counseling Center, and the Health Promotion Office. You will also learn about the importance of your student's self-care during these difficult times, as well as the programs available, both on campus and virtually, to promote positive self-care.

Supporting Your College Student
Join the Director of Parent and Family Relations for a discussion about supporting your soon to be college student during their first year of college. Learn more about communication tips, how your support will positively impact the success of your student, and the importance of becoming familiar with University resources and staying connected with the University. In addition, we will share some new opportunities to individually connect with Parent and Family Relations to discuss private and/or unique student and family situations.
