Deadlines

Online course registration opens on February 18, 2019 for matriculated students and April 8, 2019 for non-matriculated students.

Please note that some academic policies and timelines differ from the fall and spring semesters. Please review the policies and summer academic calendar before registering.

Session A Deadline

The deadline for online course registration for Session A is May 11, 2019. After that date registration must be completed by filling out a paper registration form, paying for your course at the Bursar’s Office, and having them stamp your registration form.  This form must be returned to Lattimore 120.

Session B Deadline

If you are registering for a Session B course, you can register online up until May 11, 2019.  To register after the 11 you will need to wait until online registration reopens from June 10 – 23.  After June 23 registration for Session B must be completed by filling out a paper registration form, paying for your course at the Bursar’s Office and having them stamp your registration form.  This form must be returned to Lattimore 120.

Payment Deadlines

Payment for courses is due in full at the time of registration. Payments can be made via UR ePay only while online registration is open. Payments can also be made at the Bursar’s office

If payment is not received by May 11 for courses Session A or June 23 for courses in Session B you will be deregistered and your housing reservation may be canceled.  You will be assessed a $150 fee to process a repeat registration for a course removed due to nonpayment.

**During the summer, add/drop forms can only be used for registration corrections, drops, or withdraws.

Registration for Current Rochester Students

Current matriculated students can log on to WebReg to register beginning February 18, 2019.

Rochester Area Colleges (RAC) Inter-Institutional Program Students

To register for summer courses, RAC students should follow the procedures outlined on the registrar site.

Visiting Rochester Students

Prior to registering for courses, you must first create a new student account. After creating a new account, you will be able to proceed to register for courses and submit payment information. If you have previously taken a course at Rochester, you can go directly to the course registration page.

International Students

The University of Rochester welcomes international students studying at other US institutions as well as those from abroad to Rochester Summer Sessions. The University of Rochester requires international students have an appropriate visa to study at the University during the summer session.

University of Rochester Alumni

Rochester alumni are encouraged to take courses for intellectual enrichment or professional development. With four summer sessions and a variety of courses, you can learn something new and enjoy your summer with our flexible schedules. In addition, we offer tuition discounts. University of Rochester Employees

University employees can take advantage of summer courses to earn college credit or to take a class that will help you in your current or future career. Eligible Rochester employees may use tuition benefits.

While no formal application is required, some courses have pre-requisites. Course requirements can be found on our course offerings page.

If you have not taken a course at the University before, prior to registering for courses, you must first create a new student account

 High School Students

The University of Rochester offers a wide array of programs for high school students, from Mini Med School to studying abroad in Malawi. You can engage in challenging and interesting coursework, and gain hands-on, real-world experience while building lasting connections with your peers.

Creating a New Student Account

Prior to registering for courses, you must first create a new student account by completing a Non-matriculated Student Application. The purpose of this application is to collect personal information in order to set up access for you to use the online registration system at the University.

After completing the new student account creation process you will be notified within 24 to 48 hours via email to set up your NetID and password. The NetID and password will allow you to register for your courses online.
