TODAY'S UPDATES

Three new positive cases of COVID-19

Since Tuesday’s notice in @Rochester, there are three new cases of COVID-19 to report: three River Campus students. Please note that the University’s COVID-19 Dashboard is updated daily. Whenever a new case is known, the contact-tracing process begins immediately with confirmed exposures being contacted and required to quarantine.

A special note about UHS’s surveillance testing program: all students, including off-campus students, who regularly access campus are included on UHS’s list of individuals to contact for surveillance testing. The surveillance testing program is based on testing 2,000 students per week using the quick, rapid test, and full participation is required from students in order for UHS to complete the required number of rapid tests needed to fulfill their weekly targets. This program has been a very effective way to monitor and contain the spread of the virus throughout this academic year.

COVID-19 QUICK LINKS

FOR STUDENTS

Wellness Wednesday: Networking

What does networking have to do with wellness? A lot of you are graduating in May or looking for summer internship opportunities. The job market can be a scary place in the best of times, which these are not. If you’re worried about what’s ahead, consider the Meliora Collective, a University-exclusive network with 7,500 active members, including almost 5,000 alumni hoping to help current students.

Unlike LinkedIn, you can see profiles of members from across the University, send messages, set up meetings, and access all the search filters at no cost. There are videos and resources on the platform to help you reach out to and talk with potential mentors, and you can also join interest groups and use the discussion boards to ask questions and connect.

Sound good? Join the collective here. Then, make sure to check out these six tips on getting started. For questions, contact Amber Graham in the Greene Center for Career Education and Connections.
