Commencement celebrations continue

Congratulations to the College’s Class of 2021, which celebrated commencement yesterday over four ceremonies on the Eastman Quadrangle. Above, Elisabeth Rott ’21 takes a selfie with teammates from the varsity track and field team following one of the ceremonies. The University wraps up commencement this weekend with ceremonies that will be streamed live today for doctoral candidates at 10 a.m. EDT, and the School of Nursing at 2 p.m. EDT; on Saturday, May 22, for master’s students in Arts, Sciences & Engineering and the School of Medicine and Dentistry at 11 a.m EDT, and the Warner School of Education at 2 p.m. EDT; and on Sunday, May 23, for the Eastman School of Music at 9 a.m. EDT.

You can help celebrate the Class of 2021 with the downloadable toolkit, which contains digital backgrounds, printable signs, stickers and images for social media, and more.

TODAY'S UPDATES

No new positive cases of COVID-19, and reporting changes

Since Thursday’s notice in @Rochester, there are no new cases of COVID-19 to report. Beginning Monday, May 24, only new COVID-19 cases will be reported in @Rochester; there will be no notice if there are zero new cases. Additionally, the University’s COVID-19 Dashboard will be updated Monday through Friday, with weekend numbers appearing in Monday’s dashboard update.

Everyone is encouraged to get vaccinated against COVID-19. The Medical Center is continuing to make vaccine clinic appointments available to all University faculty, staff, and students. Visit the URMC COVID-19 Clinic List to register.

Four high school teachers who mentored and influenced members of the Class of 2021 are recipients of the Singer Family Prize for Excellence in Secondary School Teaching, presented by the College.
