TODAY'S UPDATES

Amazon Business now available in the Jaggaer Marketplace

The University’s Procurement office announces the availability of Amazon Business as a vendor in the Jaggaer Marketplace. Amazon Business includes free two-day shipping on Prime-eligible items, automatic tax-exempt purchasing, and business-specific pricing, including quantity discounts on eligible items. Some items—including food and beverage, general office supplies, paper and toner, furniture, computers and similar tech devices, medical supplies, medical equipment, laboratory and research supplies, and general office equipment—will not be available through Amazon Business because of the University’s contractual obligations with other suppliers. Details are posted to the Procurement website (NetID login required). Contact the Procure to Pay Service Center at (585) 275-2012 or Procurement_Service_Center@ur.rochester.edu with any questions.

Food and Nutrition Services makes switch to bulk ordering

As part of ongoing efforts to improve services, protect financial resources, and support sustainability commitments, Food and Nutrition Services will order disposable tableware, food, and drinks in bulk through the University’s contracted suppliers and deliver only what you need. They will no longer purchase those items from Staples or Amazon. The collaborative effort among Food & Nutrition, Facilities, and Purchasing is expected to save the University approximately $130,000 annually. The move will also allow them to better measure how much plastic is purchased compared to previous years. Read more about how you can help reduce plastic use (NetID login required) by filling reusable water bottles at one of the nearly 300 hydration stations Facilities has installed throughout the River Campus and Medical Center.
