TODAY'S UPDATES

Partners play pivotal role in pregnant women’s alcohol use, which affects their babies’ development

A new study by a team of Rochester psychologists and other researchers in the Collaborative Initiative on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders finds that partners can directly influence a pregnant mother’s likelihood of drinking alcohol and feeling depressed, which affects their babies’ development. The study highlights the importance of engaging partners in intervention and prevention efforts to help pregnant mothers avoid drinking alcohol.

Security Tip: Update your mobile device

In a digital world where we store, share, and access personal and work-related data on our mobile devices, it is important to regularly update software. These updates often include patches to security vulnerabilities, so it is crucial you update operating systems and apps when prompted to help prevent access by cybercriminals. Find more information from University IT on securing your mobile devices.
