Monetary policy vs. fiscal policy: Which is more effective at stimulating the economy?

Which is more effective at stimulating a sluggish economy—monetary policy or fiscal policy? According to Rochester economist Narayana Kocherlakota, the Lionel W. McKenzie Professor of Economics, there’s a textbook answer, and it’s the wrong one.

Security Tip: New Year’s resolution scams

Whether you have already narrowed down your New Year’s resolution, or you are still working out those details, University IT advises everyone to be aware of scams that specifically target popular commitments. If you’re looking to make health or financial improvements, always read the fine print and be wary of promises that seem too good to be true. Take charge of 2022, and don’t let scammers ruin your resolutions before they begin.
