TODAY’S UPDATES

There are 31 new positive cases among students to report: two on the Eastman Campus and 29 on the River Campus.  Please note that the University’s COVID-19 Dashboard is updated when a new case is reported. Find the latest COVID-19 messages and updates here.

AlertUR test set for April 14

The spring semester test of AlertUR will be on Thursday, April 14, at 6:30 p.m. EDT. AlertUR is the emergency notification system for the University, including the Medical Center. In the event of an emergency, alerts are sent by voice, text, and email message. The purpose of the test is to activate the AlertUR system and check that you can be reached immediately. Before the April 14 test, students and employees should review their contact information online; sign in with your NetID and password to verify the fastest method for reaching you. This is also a good time to add a cell phone number. Employees with a NetID who do not have a University email address may enter a personal email or phone number to receive emergency alerts. The April 14 test will not disrupt scheduled activities. Find more information on AlertUR here.

Take part in accreditation town hall

On Tuesday, April 12, Middle States vice president Terence Peavy will hold a special open forum for the University community. During the live Zoom session, Peavy will also answer questions and explain the criteria and expectations of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. For more information or to register for the event, visit the University’s Middle States Accreditation Study web page.
