TODAY’S UPDATES

Remembering J.W. Johnson: ‘dynamic’ and devoted English teacher

James William “Bill” Johnson, a professor emeritus in the Department of English who taught at the University from 1955 to 1997, is being remembered by former students as a man with a passion for literature and life, a devoted teacher who was invested in his students in and out of the classroom. Johnson died on May 9.

SECURITY TIP

Thirty percent of mobile users aren’t doing this. Are you one of them?

Did you know more than a third of mobile device users don’t password-protect their phones? With much of your personal information stored on portable devices, it is crucial to add extra security to protect your identity from being stolen in the event your device is lost. There are many features you can enable to protect and lock your devices such as the traditional fingerprint, passcode, or pattern. Visit University IT’s Mobile Device Security page for more information and tips on securing your mobile device including what to do if your device is lost or stolen.
