Helping teens channel stress and grow in resilience

A team of researchers including Jeremy Jamieson, an associate professor of psychology, has developed a tool to help teens turn everyday stressors that could lead to anxiety and depression into a positive force instead.

In today’s issue:

  • New research shows that current guidance may unnecessarily delay care for stroke victims
  • Volunteer for an HIV vaccine study
  • River Campus Libraries and the Barbara J. Burger iZone are creating a “Pride window” and are looking for submissions

TODAY’S UPDATES

Current guidance may unnecessarily delay care for stroke victims

New research led by Laurent Glance, a professor of anesthesiology and perioperative medicine and of public health sciences, shows that statements currently used by clinicians to guide decisions for stroke patients may be too conservative, potentially resulting in unnecessary surgical delays.
