The worst foods and drinks for your teeth

FOR THE COMMUNITY

Final summer carillon concert, arboretum tour

The final concert in the Hopeman Carillon Summer Concert series will feature Andrea McCrady, Canada’s Dominion Carillonneur, on Wednesday, July 27, at 6:30 p.m. McCrady’s one-hour concert is garden-themed and will include a world premiere of “Highland Park Morning,” based on Charles Zettek Jr.’s ’72 entry to the National Association of Olmsted Parks Carillon Composition Contest. Attend in person on the Eastman Quadrangle or stream live on the Hopeman Carillon’s Facebook page.

Before the concert, John McIntyre, horticulture manager, will host a free tour of parts of the University’s accredited Arboretum Mt. Hope Properties, formerly the largest nursery of its kind worldwide, as well as River Campus. Attendees should arrive at the Library Lot opposite Rush Rhees Library at 4:45 p.m. A bus will be available to transport 29 attendees; other attendees can drive between Mt. Hope Properties and campus. The tour will conclude by 6:20 p.m., giving people enough time to set up for the concert.
