SECURITY TIP

Don’t catch the ‘bug’

Antivirus is important to help prevent, detect and remove malicious software on your devices and the University network. The University provides Cylance Smart Antivirus at no cost to students as well as any University-owned Windows and Mac devices. Typically, software should be installed when a new device is initially configured to connect to the network, however, your departmental IT staff is available should you need assistance. For your personally owned computers, University IT suggests Cylance Home. You can get more information by visiting the Download Antivirus Software web page.

  • The fire department has been notified.
  • You have been trained to use a fire extinguisher within the past year.
  • You know and understand the acronym PASS.
  • There is a clear exit behind the person using the extinguisher.
  • The fire is small, self-contained, and not spreading rapidly.
