Flu vaccine clinics and resources

In a message yesterday to the University community, University leaders stressed the importance of getting a flu shot this year; emphasized efforts to prevent the spread of the virus; and shared dates for upcoming flu vaccine clinics for faculty and staff, details on how students can schedule a flu shot, and other resources for the University community. On-demand video visits provide new option to ‘Get Care Now’

The Medical Center is now offering on-demand video visits, expanding access to care as part of the Get Care Now program.

Employee Pharmacy offers convenient prescription pickup and delivery

The University’s employee pharmacy makes it easy to get your prescriptions through free curbside pickup and workplace delivery. To use curbside delivery, drive up to the Medical Center entrance on Crittenden Boulevard, and call the pharmacy to have your prescriptions brought right to your car. Or, sign up to have a courier bring your prescriptions to your workplace—including River Campus and most offsite locations within Monroe County. Learn how you can take advantage of these and more benefits on the employee pharmacy website.

River Campus holiday social

River Campus faculty and staff are invited to celebrate the holiday season at the River Campus holiday social on Friday, December 16, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Feldman Ballroom, Douglass Commons.

Performance from improvisation class

Students in the International Theatre Program’s Improvisation Class 164 will showcase their skills in a final performance today, December 8, from 5 to 6 p.m. in Todd Union, Room 107. Students will perform two fully improvised short plays. The show is free for all to attend.

Meet the pet therapy dogs featured in Strong’s 2023 benefit calendar

Stop by the gift shop on the first floor of Golisano Children’s Hospital to meet the stars of Friends of Strong’s PETS program and annual benefit calendar from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, December 9. Lecture on political imagery in A Matter of Life and Death

Join the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures for a lecture from Emmanuelle André, a professor in film studies at the University of Paris Cité, on the political unconscious of the film A Matter of Life and Death. The lecture will be held in the Humanities Center, Conference Room D, Rush Rhees Library, on Thursday, December 15, at noon.
