Eastman Institute first in US to be named an oral health age-friendly health system participant

Eastman Institute for Oral Health’s Specialty Care Clinic is the first oral healthcare provider in the nation to be recognized as an age-friendly health system participant.

Rochester economist Stanley Engerman remembered

Stanley Engerman, a professor emeritus of economics and the John H. Munro Professor of Economics at Rochester, is being remembered as a generous colleague and pioneer in economic history. Engerman, an economist who developed an international reputation for his work on the economic impact of institutions, most notably through his study of slavery, died on May 11. University flags on Eastman Quadrangle and near the entrance of Strong Memorial Hospital will be lowered for Engerman on June 22.

New River Campus ID Office hours

Effective Monday, June 5, the River Campus ID Office in Susan B. Anthony Halls will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The office is still operating in its temporary location down the hall pending completion of the renovation of the main office. The Institutional Office of Equity and Inclusion will host “Boundless Together: The Future of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice” on September 22 at the Joseph Floreano Riverside Convention Center. The daylong conference will bring together staff, faculty, and students from across the University to engage in education, networking, and meaningful conversation about pressing topics around diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice at a time when challenges are mounting nationwide.
