MySSP has changed its name to TELUS Health. The University Counseling Center has contracted with TELUS to provide on-demand mental health support via phone or text in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, and French, and short-term psychotherapy in multiple languages wherever a student is in the world. While their name has changed, TELUS Health will continue to provide the same services free of charge to Rochester students. Existing users simply need to update their apps. Exhibit remembers Franklin Florence

During the 1960s, Franklin Florence emerged as a prominent civil rights leader and advocate of Black power in Rochester as the founder and first president of FIGHT, a community-based Black activist organization. Florence died in February 2023, but his legacy lives on through the change he effected. The Department of Rare Books, Special Collections, and Preservation honors that legacy with the new digital exhibit Faith and Justice: The Life and Legacy of Minister Franklin Florence, which will also have a physical presence in the Friedlander Lobby of Rush Rhees Library through September 9.
