The University’s Investment Banking Program will host an information session on Wednesday, November 15, at 7 p.m. in Morey Hall, Room 321. Led by a group of juniors, seniors, and young alumni who have offers or currently hold positions in investment banking, the program helps students interested in summer internships prepare for recruitment. The group will be interviewing and selecting a group of students from the Classes of 2026 and 2027 to undergo investment banking-specific training throughout 2024. Action is required for many of the University’s benefits including changing your health care plan, electing to contribute to a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), electing to increase or decrease your coverage, and enrolling in Group Universal Life Insurance or several other voluntary benefits. You have until Wednesday, November 15, to enroll or make changes to your benefits. Panel discussion on nurse practitioner role and specialty pathways
Register to join the School of Nursing on Wednesday, November 15, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for a virtual panel discussion on the nurse practitioner role and specialty pathways. The event is designed to empower you with the knowledge and confidence to choose the nurse practitioner specialty that aligns best with your passions and aspirations and help you make an informed decision about the direction your career should take. Attendees will receive an application fee waiver. Contact the School of Nursing Admissions Office with questions.

Check out the Family Care website for a one-stop shop for all family-related benefits and resources offered by the University. You can browse resources by categories ranging from new and expecting parents to elder care. Benefits include Care.com memberships, subsidized backup care, child care discounts, and more.
As part of International Education Week, attend a conversation with Martin Levin ’68 on Wednesday, November 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Greene Center Conference Room, Dewey Hall, Room 4-200. Levin will discuss his nonprofit start-up, Acting Globally, designed to address the most challenging global problems of our time.
Register for the Skirboll Family Autism Conference
The 2023 Skirboll Family Autism Conference will be held virtually from November 16–18 on Zoom. The annual event is hosted by Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics with support from the Skirboll Family Foundation and features no-cost information sessions presented by national experts on various topics related to autism spectrum disorder and related disabilities for families, professionals, and the community. Virtual Career Conversation with FLX AI
Join the Ain Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation on Friday, November 17, from noon to 1 p.m. for the next “Virtual Career Conversation” with FLX AI CEO Karla George ’21 (MBA), and Chief Data Scientist Edgar Bernal. FLX AI is a spin-off of the Goergen Institute for Data Science, and offers boutique AI consulting services, predominantly to customers in the geospatial and medical domains. Guided landfill tour
On Friday, November 17, take a guided bus tour of Waste Management’s High Acres Landfill. Learn about how the landfill was engineered to protect the air, water, soil, and environmental integrity of the surrounding area. The tour bus will leave from the back of Rush Rhees Library at 1 p.m. and will return at approximately 3 p.m. The tour is open to anyone, but seating is limited. Email Phil Piedmont to register.
Experience a variety of cultures at the Global Fair
Student organizations and students from different cultural backgrounds will be showcasing their cultures at the Global Fair on Friday, November 17, from 4 to 7 p.m. in Hirst Lounge, Wilson Commons. Booths will offer food, memorabilia, cultural attire, and more to help students learn about other cultures and spread awareness. Sign up for a booth here.
All students, faculty, and staff are invited to join a discussion forum on Friday, November 17, at noon to learn more about the University’s Boundless Possibility 2030 strategic plan, ask questions, and provide feedback. The session will be led by members of the strategic plan Implementation Team. It is free and open to all but registration is required.
