Commencement Weekend kicks off today

Today we celebrate the Class of 2024 at the University-wide Commencement Ceremony. Visit the Commencement website for the latest information including a schedule of events for the weekend, FAQs, and the #UR2024 Celebration Toolkit. You can also watch the live broadcast beginning at 9 a.m. as well as broadcasts of the weekend’s school graduation ceremonies. Above, members of the Class of 2024 enjoy a picnic on Wilson Quad.

Recognizing May heritage months

Learn about heritage months recognized in May on the Office of Equity and Inclusion website. May is Jewish American Heritage, Asian-American Pacific Islander, and Haitian Heritage Month. “We want to celebrate and honor the many achievements and contributions of our diverse community,” says Adrienne Morgan, vice president for equity and inclusion and the Richard Feldman Chief Diversity Officer. Heritage month recognitions are a collaboration with the Paul J. Burgett Intercultural Center.

Online tuition waiver application available for summer 2024

The online tuition waiver application for the summer 2024 semester is now open. Submit your application by logging into HRMS and following the pathway Self Service > Benefits > Tuition > Apply Employee Tuition Waiver. All applications must be received within 30 days of the course start date.

Join the Eastman Community Music School for its annual Springfest, May 20 through June 2, showcasing student ensembles and soloists of all ages from more than 30 ensembles. Events are free and open to the public. Find the full schedule here.

Tour the Ellwanger estate with MAG

Memorial Art Gallery hosts “A Journey Through Time at The Ellwanger Estate” on Saturday, June 29. Tour two adjacent historic houses built as residences for the Ellwanger family in the mid-1800s.
