Can adults have ADHD?

If you find yourself struggling to complete everyday tasks like brushing your teeth, sending an email, or eating regularly, ADHD could be to blame. FDA approves first RSV vaccine for use in at-risk adults over 50

The Hill, June 8

“When it comes to the risks associated with RSV, age is just a number, an important number, but not the only factor to consider,” says Ann Falsey, a professor of medicine. “Many adults in this age group have underlying health conditions that place them at increased risk for serious illness with RSV infection compared with those without these conditions. Now there is a vaccine approved that can help protect them.”

Juneteenth early payroll deadlines

To ensure the timely processing and mailing of payroll checks as the University observes the Juneteenth holiday on June 19, all time must be entered and approved by 5 p.m. on Monday, June 17. All employees must comply with this deadline to ensure employees are paid properly.

Tips for employees entering time:

  • Ensure your time is entered daily.
  • Remind your timekeeper to approve your time weekly.

Tips for timekeepers:

  • Each morning, approve the time recorded by employees for the previous day.
  • On Monday, June 10, ensure all time entered for employees for the previous week has been approved.
  • During the week of June 10, continue to approve your employees’ time daily.

Behavioral Health Partners blog on avoiding procrastination

If you find yourself chronically late to complete tasks or projects, you might be caught up in a procrastination cycle. Understanding what factors lead to procrastination can help you address the issue and become more effective at completing tasks on schedule. Retirement program service credit waiver

Prior service at an eligible institution (higher educational institution, teaching hospital, not-for-profit research foundation, not-for-profit support organization for higher educational institution, or a member of the University’s controlled group) may count towards the two-year waiting period for the University’s direct contribution to the retirement program on your behalf. The retirement service credit waiver form can be completed in HRMS (Main Menu > Self Service > Benefits > Retirement Service Credit) and must be submitted within 90 days of your hire date to receive retroactive contributions.

This conference aims to advance the success of Deaf and hard of hearing individuals in biomedical and behavioral science research careers by bringing together aspiring and successful Deaf and hard of hearing scientists and allied groups nationwide to network and build a community.
