Annual training on harassment and discrimination now available in MyPath
In pursuit of its Meliora values and in compliance with state and federal law, the University requires all faculty and staff to complete an annual training on how to identify and react to workplace harassment and discrimination. This year’s requirement will be fulfilled by using the sexual harassment prevention training provided by New York State. Training is now assigned in MyPath and must be completed by December 31. For more information and frequently asked questions about the training and additional online and in-person training opportunities, visit the Office of Equity and Inclusion’s website.
Caring for an aging parent webinar
The Office of Total Rewards hosts a webinar on Wednesday, July 24, at noon to learn more about caring for an aging spouse, relative, or friend. Conducted by a representative from MetLife, the webinar will provide relevant information on anticipating a loved one’s daily living activity needs and explore helpful planning options, tips, and resources. Learn about Warner School graduate programs and begin your journey this fall
Attend a Warner School of Education and Human Development virtual information session from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, to learn more about scholarship opportunities that can significantly reduce tuition expenses and get detailed insights into the variety of graduate programs, including applied behavior analysis, counseling, educational leadership, education policy, health professions education, higher education, human development, online teaching, program evaluation, and teaching. The Warner School welcomes applications on a rolling basis. Apply any time before August 1 for an entry term as early as fall 2024. Contact Warner’s admissions office with questions. Three Minute Thesis registration opens August 1
The 2024 Three Minute Thesis (3MT) final competition will take place during Meliora Weekend on Friday, September 27. An awards reception and University alumni mixer will immediately follow the event. 3MT is an opportunity for Rochester doctoral students to present their dissertation research findings to a general audience in three minutes with only one PowerPoint slide. The goal is for students to communicate their research to a non-specialist audience vividly and engagingly while emphasizing its key point.
