A Message about Recent Immigration News

The University continues to monitor federal developments regarding immigration. “We want to emphasize our continued support to our international students, scholars, employees, and patients, as well as for our international collaboration and engagement,” says Jane Gatewood, vice provost for global engagement. Read the full statement. An information session, open to the everyone in the University community, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, in the Interfaith Chapel.

Will Moving Off Campus Affect Your Financial Aid?

If you receive financial aid and are thinking about moving off campus next year, you should schedule an appointment with your financial aid counselor to go over any potential impact on your aid for next year before you make your final decision. Appointments can be scheduled throughout the week.

Employment Scam Targeting College Students

Scammers are sending e-mails to students recruiting for fictitious employment opportunities. Remember to be skeptical when you receive emails from those without a University of Rochester email address and from senders you do not know. If you think you have received a scam email or have fallen victim to this or any other scam, follow guidelines on the University IT website and report immediately to abuse@rochester.edu. 

Winterfest Weekend Is Coming
