S/F, Course Withdrawal Deadline Is Friday

The last day for undergraduates to declare S/F (satisfactory/fail) or withdraw from courses is Friday, November 15. First-year and transfer students may declare the S/F option until Wednesday, December 4. Students who wish to withdraw from a class will need to submit a drop/add form to Lattimore 312 by the November 15 deadline.

All Hajim students need an advisor’s signature and department stamp. Students in the Class of 2021 and Class of 2022 who have not formally declared their major will need their undergraduate advisor’s signature on the form. Students who will be underloading—carrying fewer than 14 credits—will need to discuss their plans with an advisor in the College Center for Advising Services.

The S/F option is declared using an online form.

Prepare for Transition to New Student Records System

In February, UR Student will be the new student administration system where you will complete online registration, access your schedule, check your grades, and communicate with your advisor. Starting in July 2020, you will also be able to use the system to check your student account and pay your bills.

The new systems will be accessible through a mobile app or web browser. Prepare for the upcoming transition now by enrolling in Duo, an authentication system that will add an additional layer of security when you access your account by verifying your login attempt using your personal phone number. Enrollment in Duo with your NetID (the logon you use for Gmail and Blackboard) will be required in order to access UR Student when you are not on a University network. Students who have not yet enrolled in Duo using their NetID will receive an email from the Office of the University Registrar on Monday, November 11, with the required steps to follow.

If you need help setting up Duo, contact the University IT Help Desk at UnivIT@rochester.edu or (585) 275-2000.
