Update on Summer Courses, Programs

After much consideration of health and safety, as well as the likelihood of continuing restrictions around campus access, Arts, Sciences & Engineering has decided to cancel or shift online all in-person instruction, programs, events, research and experiences for the entirety of the Summer Session (May 18 to August 7).

Summer Session courses will be moved online. Updates to courses are currently being made in CDCS, but the full list of classes will be available shortly. Some courses may shift from Session A to Session B or, due to the nature of the course, be canceled. If you are currently enrolled in a course that will be canceled, you will be notified.

Registration for summer classes can be done via WebReg. If you have an advisor hold on your WebReg account, please complete an add/drop form to register for summer courses. Simply download and fill out the form, save the file, and email it to CCASREC@ur.rochester.edu.

All in-person and residential summer programs, research, and internships will be canceled or held online. This includes pre-college programs through the Office of Admissions, in-person summer research or experiential programs, and sports camps in Athletics. Any courses provided by such programs may be held online. Please contact your program directly for additional information on how to proceed.

Student Advising Weeks Begin April 6

Between April 6 and April 23, students preparing to register for fall courses should reach out to faculty advisors, undergraduate advisors, and peer advisors, to consult about academic opportunities, review schedules, discuss course requirements, and get connected to academic resources. For more information on Advising Weeks, visit the College Center for Advising Services website.

Fall 2020 registration for students in AS&E will take place in UR Student beginning the week of April 20.
