Students planning to reside on campus for the 2021–22 academic year may register online for a dining plan from April 19–30. If accessing the site from off-campus, you will need to use VPN. Students residing off-campus must have a meal plan and the Commuter Declining Plan is the minimum requirement. Commuter contracts can be found at dining.rochester.edu/meal-plans/ and must be completed by May 15. Email completed contracts as a PDF attachment to mealplans@services.rochester.edu. A $50 late fee will be applied after deadlines have passed. As a reminder regarding spring 2021 dining funds, unspent funds are non-refundable and will not carry forward to summer 2021.

The Summer Session, which runs May 24 through August 13, has five different sessions and over 100 courses, including fully asynchronous options to choose from to suit your needs. Registration for summer sessions is now open and can be done via UR Student. Don’t forget to talk about summer session options with your advisor when discussing fall registration.

In a message to members of the University community, President Sarah Mangelsdorf announced her plans to make separate appointments for Rochester’s next provost and next vice president for research. The announcement is part of a larger update on the key leadership roles, particularly the position of provost, which Mangelsdorf hopes to fill by January 1, 2022. Beginning July 1, Sarah Peyre, dean of the Warner School of Education, will serve for six months as interim provost, and Stephen Dewhurst, vice dean for research at the School of Medicine and Dentistry and associate vice president for health sciences research for the University, will serve a one-year appointment as interim vice president for research.
