Updated Safety Measure: Eating in Classrooms

With fall semester classes now in progress, University leadership has made a protocol update. Effective immediately, eating in a classroom during instruction is not permitted, and drinking (water bottles, coffee, etc.) should be minimized as much as possible. Instructors may add further details about restrictions on eating and minimization of drinking on their syllabus and should make clear announcements in the first several class sessions. This update, which applies to classrooms on all campuses, is made in an effort to minimize the potential of COVID-19 transmission. Classes with formal events or other activities with food are allowed and should follow University rules about events and gatherings.

Last Week for Fall Meal Plan Changes

The last day to request a change to your fall meal plan is Saturday, September 4. Forms are available online. Email completed forms as either a PDF or Word document attachment to mealplans@services.rochester.edu or drop them off at the ID Office in Susan B. Anthony Hall. A $25 change fee applies. If you are increasing the size of your plan, the change fee will be waived.

Financial Aid Documents Due September 8

The due date for all outstanding financial aid requirements is Wednesday, September 8. Students with outstanding financial aid documents and requirements will continue to receive bi-weekly email reminders of those requirements. Students can also find a list of these materials under the “Required Documents” page of their FAOnline portal. Students who have not submitted all required documents by that deadline will no longer have their need-based financial aid anticipated on their billing statement. Contact your financial aid counselor with questions.
