New Ways to Stay Informed

Welcome to the first issue of Read This, a weekly newsletter sent on Sunday evenings, that includes the critical information students need to know to navigate the week. Blackboard Has a New Home

Blackboard is now located at https://learn.rochester.edu. Access the new system with your NetID credentials. Note: Syllabi from all courses taught starting from fall 2014 are available through the Course Planning tab.

Classes Start Wednesday

Wednesday, August 31, is the first day of classes at the College. Need help finding a class? Check the campus map.

Meal Plan Change Period Begins This Week

Want to change your meal plan? You can do so starting August 31. Complete this form and return it to the ID Card Office in Susan B. Anthony Hall by 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 7.

Financial Aid Application Requirements

If you are receiving financial aid and have not yet completed your application requirements, complete them as soon as possible so your financial aid will disburse in a timely manner. Log into your FAOnline account at any time to check on the status of your outstanding documents. If you’ve been awarded a federal loan and still need to complete your loan requirements, check out these handy reference guides for Direct Loan and Perkins Loan requirements. If you have questions and would like to meet with your financial aid counselor, call the Financial Aid Office at (585) 275-3226 to schedule an appointment.

Yellowjacket Weekend Is September 2–5

Celebrate the beginning of the academic year at the College’s first community weekend. View the full schedule here. This year’s comedian is Colin Jost, coanchor of SNL’s “Weekend Update.” Undergraduate student tickets for his performance go on sale on Monday, August 29, at 6 p.m. at the Common Market in Wilson Commons.
