Deadline To Withdraw from Spring Courses is April 6

The last day for undergraduate students in the College to withdraw from spring coursework is Wednesday, April 6. Submit a drop/add form and follow these instructions to do so. Students in the Classes of 2026, 2025, and 2024 are encouraged to speak to their College advisor about any proposed changes to their schedule.

All undeclared and declared Hajim School students will need to submit an email from their undergraduate coordinator, along with the drop/add form, indicating approval for the schedule change.

Planning for Summer

Students who wish to stay in on-campus housing this summer may register to do so online. Please note that the University will not be providing financial support for summer room and board as was done last year with funding through the federal Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) program.

Students may wish to seek summer employment that includes housing or off-campus housing options. Find information about short-term rentals and sublets here. Students can also post apartments for sublet on the site.

Limited assistance may be available through the Student Support Basic Needs Hub. Complete a resource request form here. Demonstrated need, availability of resources, the reason for needing to remain in Rochester, relevance, and timing of the request will all be considered when allocating resources.

Face Masks Encouraged Indoors

To mitigate a recent increase in COVID-19 cases among students on River Campus, the University is encouraging students, faculty, and staff to wear a face mask when indoors on campus for the time being.

Reminder: Before spring break, UHS provided each full-time student who is part of the Student Health Program with a COVID-19 self-test kit (two per box). Test kits were put in mailboxes in the River Campus Mail Center and can be picked up at any time. Students can also pick up free test kits at Common Connection during regular hours. Any student who gets a positive test result on a self-test must notify UHS immediately—through Dr. Chat Bot or by phone, (585) 275-2662.
