Student life spaces on the River Campus have modified hours and services for the end of the semester and the approaching summer. View the schedules for senior week, Commencement, and summer online for spaces including Wilson Commons, Douglass Commons, and Genesee and Spurrier Halls.

A reminder that the indoor face mask requirement remains in place for now, including at indoor Commencement ceremonies and events. The requirement applies to all students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests—including those who are fully vaccinated and boosted. Outdoor Commencement events and activities, including tented events and the all-University Commencement ceremony in Fauver Stadium on May 13, are mask-optional; anyone who wishes to wear a mask is welcome to do so. Family members assisting students in moving out of their campus residence will also need to be masked.

Do you have unwanted stuff in your dorm room that you want to get rid of? Don’t trash it—donate it instead. The University offers two programs to get rid of your items responsibly.

Established earlier this semester and comprised of faculty, staff, and students across the University, the Global Celebration Committee is overseeing an initiative to showcase the institution’s global diversity.

The University community is asked to submit creative ideas that would represent Rochester’s global diversity in meaningful, valuable, and inspirational ways. The committee will accept submissions through mid-October and make recommendations to University President Sarah Mangelsdorf in December.
