Fall Course Schedule Available in UR Student on March 13

The AS&E fall course schedule will be available in UR Student on Monday, March 13. Although registration doesn’t start until Monday, April 10, students are encouraged to begin planning their fall schedules now. Connect with your advisor, share your course plans, and confirm your selections to keep you on track. Arts & Sciences students in the Class of 2025 and 2026 and all Hajim undergraduates have advising holds that must be lifted prior to registration.

Financial Aid Application Deadline Is March 15

Biweekly email reminders have been sent to all students who typically apply for financial aid regarding the application deadline, which is Wednesday, March 15. Contact your financial aid counselor with questions regarding what application materials you may still have outstanding once you’ve had a chance to review your FAOnline account. Visit the financial aid website for contact information.

Use of AI Tools in Your Courses

If your instructors have not clarified expectations about when, how, and whether artificial intelligence/large language model tools such as ChatGPT, Dall-E, Grammarly, or Photomath should be used in their courses—you should ask. Instructors could report you for unauthorized use of resources if you use ChatGPT or similar tools without their permission.

To ensure you are completing your academic work in compliance with AS&E’s academic honesty policy, the academic honesty liaisons also recommend reviewing:
The liaisons also recommend asking yourself: Is the tool doing something for me that will be assessed as part of course learning outcomes? (If it is, don’t use it). Do I know if the tool is permitted or encouraged by my instructor? (If not, or if you’re not sure, don’t use it). You can also contact AS&E academic honesty liaisons at honestyliaison@ur.rochester.edu for general inquiries or mywco.com/honesty for confidential appointments.
