Application for Graduation Due April 1

Undergraduate students in AS&E who have earned 88 or more credit hours and are officially declared in a program of study are eligible to apply for graduation. The Application for Graduation is an opportunity for students to indicate their plans for completing degree requirements to the Office of the University Registrar and is required to be considered and reviewed for degree completion. Students who are eligible to apply will receive a monthly reminder to their University email until they formally submit. This reminder email will include the link to apply.

Students who are planning to attend the 2023 Commencement ceremonies and who wish to have their names appear in the commencement book must submit the application by April 1. For those students who plan to attend the 2024 Commencement ceremonies but are eligible to apply to graduate based on the parameters listed above, the application can be submitted at any time; you can indicate the appropriate expected completion date as far out as summer 2024.

Additional information regarding academic progress and the degree conferral calendar can be found on the Registrar’s website. If you have questions or if you need access to the form, reach out to degreeaudithelp@rochester.edu.

Dining Plan Selection for Fall 2024

The deadline to register for a dining plan is April 30. Late registration will incur a $50 late registration fee. Returning students intending to reside on campus must register for a dining plan through the housing lottery. Returning students intending to commute must register online; the link will close after April 30.

Steering Wheel Locks Available to Hyundai and Kia Drivers

Hyundai Motor America has provided the University with steering wheel locks to deter Hyundai and Kia vehicle thefts. The Department of Public Safety is able to distribute one free wheel lock to anyone in the University community who owns or drives a Hyundai or Kia. While supplies last, individuals can pick up a steering wheel lock at DPS headquarters, 612 Wilson Blvd., River Campus, by showing a University ID and proof of owning or driving a Hyundai or Kia vehicle, such as a vehicle registration card. In January, DPS alerted the University community to the uptick in incidents involving the attempted theft of these vehicles around campus. DPS continues to give extra attention to the target areas as the investigations continue.
