The College Center for Advising Services shares the following upcoming deadlines:

• Wednesday, September 27: Last day to add a course with instructor permission, including independent study or independent research
• Wednesday, September 27: Last day to drop a course
• Thursday, September 28: First day to withdraw from a course

To enhance campus safety and ensure inclusive, fair, and equitable security practices across the institution, the University engaged an outside consulting firm in 2022 to provide a comprehensive review of the Department of Public Safety and campus safety security policies and practices. The firm found that the University “benefits from a dedicated and committed public safety staff” and identified opportunities to strengthen certain areas. In response, senior leadership developed a five-point plan to address the firm’s top recommendations and establish a framework for continuous improvement. Learn more about the plan.

The TapRide app will no longer be used as the University’s method for requesting on-demand rides through the Safe Ride system after September 30. A new ride app, which integrates with a new GPS app for the University shuttle system, will launch soon. After September 30 and until the new app launches, students should call the Safe Ride dispatcher number (585) 276-RIDE (7433) to request a ride. Students will request a ride through the dispatcher and the dispatcher will relay the ride information to the driver. Safe Ride runs from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. every day during the academic year (except for breaks and University holidays) to provide safe and reliable transportation for undergraduate students.
