The University’s Laboratory for Laser Energetics operates the Omega Laser Facility, which houses two laser systems: the OMEGA Laser System and the OMEGA EP Laser System. References to the individual laser systems use all uppercase letters for OMEGA, but the facility as a a whole only has the first letter of Omega capitalized. On first reference to the facility, write out the full name; on second reference, “Omega Facility” or “the facility” is acceptable.
