Finding the component settings
While the footer component is a component of the website, it isn’t found in the same place as the rest of the varied-width components. To create a new footer or to edit an existing one, visit Settings > Site Settings. Scrolling to the bottom will reveal the Footer Component settings.
Enable
This simple check box dictates if the footer component will be enabled or disabled.
Internal or External
Title
A title for the component can be simply added to the title field to give some context to the footer.
Menu
The main links for the footer component are added using a menu. A menu must be created before it can be added to the component. If a menu has already been created, adding one is as simple as selecting the correct menu from the drop-down. For more information about creating a menu, visit the menu guide.
Please note that the title of the menu does matter. This will be displayed as a subheading for all the links in the menu.

The right-hand side of the footer component has the ability to house social media links. Here’s how to create a social media link:
