International students: Get details about orientation program requirements

Under immigration sponsorship through the University’s International Services Office, there are four components of the International Student Orientation Program (ISOP) that require attention from international students:

  • Pre-arrival orientation
  • Immigration check-in
  • ISOP orientation meeting
  • SSN enumeration

View details on the ISO website. If you have questions or concerns, email isop@rochester.edu.

NOTE: Only international students who will matriculate for Fall 2020, either in-person or remotely, are required to participate in ISOP at this time. If you currently hold an I-20/DS-2019 for Fall 2020 but will delay your enrollment to Spring 2021 or later, you are not expected to complete these requirements right now. ISO will coordinate with your admitting department to update your immigration record accordingly and you will be prompted to participate in ISOP at a later date.
