UHS is advising that, based on the current availability of the COVID-19 vaccine in Rochester and nationwide, it’s unlikely that the University will be able to vaccinate students this semester.
Recent New York State guidance, however, indicates that individuals of any age who have certain underlying/chronic health conditions are eligible to receive the vaccine through local vaccination sites. Students who meet these eligibility criteria will be encouraged to attend one of these vaccination clinics. The Finger Lakes Vaccine Hub offers a good, updated list of these options.
