Great Finish To Worlds Debate Season At USUDC

For a second year in a row URDU debaters have broken into elimination rounds at the most competitive tournament in the United States – the US Universities Debating Championship (USUDC). Additionally, everyone had seven great debates and learned a lot at this competition.

Sarah Hofmann, who debated in elimination rounds for her second year in a row, entered elims with Ben Frazer, one of the Rochester debaters who won the novice breakout at USUDC last year. They finished as octafinalists to two Harvard teams in a very close debate.

Additionally, assistant coach Bexley Brown was invited to judge in elimination rounds at the tournament, demonstrating her excellence as an adjudicator once again.

So, we end our competitive season with some impressive performances by debaters and coaches alike. On to next season!
