URDU Takes On Toronto

This past weekend the URDU sent three teams to the Hart House Inter-Varsity tournament in Toronto, Canada. With tough competition and excellently written topics, everyone had some great debates and got exposure to some high level competition.
The highlight of the weekend was seniors Ben Frazer and Graeme McGuire reaching Quarterfinals at this extremely prestigious tournament. Ben was also ranked the 10th best individual speaker of the tournament out of nearly 200 debaters – a huge accomplishment.
After we take one weekend off for our public debate on universal healthcare this weekend (we hope you’ll join us!), we’ll be off to Yale University and the US Military Academy at West Point next weekend for some more debate in BOTH of our formats. Be well Yellowjackets!
