Minority Male Leadership Association

In the winter of 2013, several minority men gathered on campus to share a vision to create an organization for (undergraduates, graduates, and faculty/staff) that would foster mentorship and success among minority men in the Rochester community.

The Minority Male Leadership Association (MMLA) is proud to be a new affinity group at the University of Rochester. Our mission, “We, the Minority Male Leadership Association, are dedicated to exploring the characteristics of successful minority male leaders. We will build a community of young driven minority men focused on success by providing mentorship and promoting excellence.” One of our primary goals is to connect with the Rochester community as a whole to help improve the plight of young minority men, who are graduating from the Rochester City School District at only 9%. (2012) (See current statistics here)

We seek to meet such a need by creating quality programming targeted for young driven minority men in the Rochester community.
